Deluxe Boutique is quite partial to European cuts and much of its clothing has strong 1960s undertones. All of it is hand-selected, high quality and of unique design. The store carries a large number of brand names, including a house brand called simply ‘Deluxe.’ The latter is designed by the owner herself. They have labels like Drykorn, Buddhist Punk, Tiger of Sweden and Junk de Luxe. And there’s quite a range of it, too; everything from jeans to men’s suits. For ladies, you’ll find evening wear and elegant dresses as well as sexier stuff for going out. And both men and women can find something to wear on the wedding day here. For accessories, have a look at their collection of vintage jewelry or peruse their shoe section.
The Ideal of Individualism
Some people want a unique look, but others need it. Some of Deluxe Boutique’s clientele fit firmly into the latter category. The shop gets a decent mix of professionals, men and women, gay and straight—but they also get a few rock stars here and there, people who make serious demands for uniqueness. Some customers even come from out of town to shop here. It’s the distinctive cuts and fabrics that appeal to their individualism, perhaps. Or maybe it’s just the irresistible, funky vibe that this store gives off.
